Firmware updating

Update device firmware over USB MIDI from the browser — no Arduino IDE required on the end-user machine for the flash step.

Prerequisites

  • Device reports USB firmware update support
  • Compiled .bin from Arduino IDE: Sketch → Export Compiled Binary
  • Stable USB data cable
  • A build for the exact product from the firmware catalog

Procedure

  1. Connect and link the device in the configurator.
  2. Open the Firmware tab.
  3. Choose the .bin file.
  4. If the installed firmware is 2.6.0 or newer, hold Button 1 for three seconds during normal operation, then release. Start the upload within 60 seconds. Wired bootloader flashing does not need this approval.
  5. Click Upload Firmware.
  6. Wait for chunked transfer + finalize.
  7. Device reboots; reconnect when status returns offline.
