The Journey
It started with a classical guitar and a conservatory education — years spent training fingers to move with precision across nylon strings. Then came electronic music, and with it, a new problem: the tools available didn't match the level of craft that went into the music itself.
Off-the-shelf MIDI controllers felt generic. Mass-produced. Built for spec sheets, not for the moment when an idea needs to move from your head into the speakers. So we started building our own — in a small workshop in New York City, one controller at a time.

The Mission
We're not trying to compete with the big brands on volume. We're here for the producers, performers, and composers who care deeply about their tools — people who want a controller that reflects their workflow, not the other way around.
Every useMidi controller is designed with that in mind: thoughtful layout, quality components, and the ability to configure every knob and button exactly to how you work.
The Workshop
We're based in New York City — one of the most chaotic, creative, and inspiring places on earth. Our workshop is where every controller is assembled, tested, and played before it ships.

What We Build
Right now, we make the PipSqueak — a compact, highly configurable MIDI controller built for producers who need maximum expressiveness in a minimal footprint. Potentiometers, buttons, LED feedback, and a full SysEx configuration protocol accessible right from your browser.
